The San Fernando Valley chapter of the Ninety-Nines is an active group that works tirelessly to support women pilots and to promote general aviation. Above, the SFV chapter enjoys a very special field trip to Virgin Galactic’s Spaceship Co.
The Ninety-Nines is a non-profit women’s pilots association started in 1929, with Amelia Earhart serving as its first president. It is an international organization that promotes the advancement of aviation through education, scholarships, and mutual support, while honoring its unique history and its members’ passion for flight.
Recently the San Fernando Valley Chapter of the Ninety-Nines was invited to tour The Spaceship Company at Virgin Galactic’s facility at the Mojave Air and Space Port. The San Fernando Valley Chapter welcomes new members. Many of its member fly out of Whiteman Airport. For information email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
To learn more about the Ninety- Nines, the Southwest Section Ninety- Nines will be holding the Spring Section and Business Meeting, to be hosted by the Palomar chapter and Coyote Country Chapter.
